In Unit 2: Computer Systems we learn about all the componants in a computer and what each of the parts do when they are together and we also learn about what happens when they communicate with each other. We learn about different software and hardware.
Week 7 - We done our assignment 1 and got it all finished and reviewed. it was about comparing 2 operating systems, windows 7 and ubuntu and why one was better than the other.
Week 8 - we got assignment 2 done and dusted and out of the way. and it was all about what each piece of software done and how it helped improve the performace of your PC, for example antivirus software.
Week 9 - we were looking over assignment 2 again and fixing up any bits of information that we had left out or that was not completed correctly.
Week 10 - we have recived our assignment 3, and we are only getting started on it now. for the assignment we have to make a quote for a mrs mitchell of new PC's and a printer for upto £4500.

Unit 1: Communications + Employability Skills.
In Unit 1: Communications + Employability Skills we learn about the communication skills you need to get a job as for example if you work doing IT Tech Support. In Employability we learn about how we can research the specifications needed for different jobs and we also learn about job interviews.
Week 7 - we learnt about a lot of different jobs within IT and what you would have to do in the job, what salary you would earn and all the dates you get to take off for holidays or breaks. We had to make a slide presentation or a word document on the job that we would like to do in IT and also different information on it.
Week 8 - we had to do a lot of research on the different types of learning styles that there is like for example you could be kinesthetic, auditory or visual. My learning style is kinesthetic, and i have found this out by taking a learning style test that was on moodle.
Week 9 - we just finished of task 1 and other bits and pieces that we left out.
Week 10 - we were starting to look at assignment 2 and we started to work away at it and i have got it half way done so far.
Week 11 - still working on task 1 assignment 2
Week 12 - teacher not in.
Week 13 - more work on the task 1.
Week 14 - got task 1 completely finished and handed in for review.
Week 15 - we got information about the assignment 2 task 2 and what to do with it
