In Unit 43 Multimedia design we learn about how multimedia works all over the world and how it affects people in their everyday lives. We have learned how to use adobe director briefly and have had a few tutorials on it so far.
Week 7 - We practised using adobe director 11 and we had to follow a step-by-step tutorial on how to make a bouncing ball which was animated. After that we started to work on our first assignment which was to give a presentation to the team explaining how businesses make use of multimedia.
Week 8 - I was still working on my assignment and i got it all done and handed in on time. Then after that we had to discuss the game we are looking to make for our next assignment, then plan out a story board after that.
Week 9 - We started to write down ideas for our learning game that we are going to make using adobe director 11, we simply just had to go into microsoft word and then pick ideas from the following topics; Computing, Sports, Music, Geography, Tourism, Business, Or other agreed choice with tutor.
Week 10 - We were still thinking of ideas for the game, i have picked my idea and have started to write about it, others are still thinking and writing down more ideas and stuff to put in the actual game itself.
Week 11 - we started to work on the game, and get pictures to put into it and so on.
Week 12 - still working on the game, getting sound effects, music and more effects to put into it.
Week 13 - done a few more tutorials in director to learn about the different tools and how they work.
Week 14 - we started to design our own interactive christmas card, and we looked at other different interactive cards to try get an idea of what to do.
Week 15 - still working on the christmas card, getting pictures, sound effects etc.
Week 16 - finished off the interactive christmas card.
Week 17 - the interactive christmas card had to be handed in at the end of this week.
Week 18 - started to work on the actual plan of what the game is actually going to look like and not just what we think it will look like.
Week 19 - continued to work on the navigation of the game.
Week 20 - finished off the storyboard for the game.
Week 21 - was not in class, no work done.
Week 22 - fixed up parts of the game that did not navigate correctly
Week 23 - continued on with the games navigation.
Week 24 - teacher not in class this day.
Week 25 - half term
Week 26 - still working on the game, and fixing it up.

In unit 30 Digital Graphics we learn alot about images like for example bitmaps, JPEG's and GIF's. we also learn alot more about photoshop and how to use it properly. We learn about how technology allows us to edit images to the way we want them.

In Unit 2: Computer Systems we learn about all the componants in a computer and what each of the parts do when they are together and we also learn about what happens when they communicate with each other. We learn about different software and hardware.
Week 7 - We done our assignment 1 and got it all finished and reviewed. it was about comparing 2 operating systems, windows 7 and ubuntu and why one was better than the other.
Week 8 - we got assignment 2 done and dusted and out of the way. and it was all about what each piece of software done and how it helped improve the performace of your PC, for example antivirus software.
Week 9 - we were looking over assignment 2 again and fixing up any bits of information that we had left out or that was not completed correctly.
Week 10 - we have recived our assignment 3, and we are only getting started on it now. for the assignment we have to make a quote for a mrs mitchell of new PC's and a printer for upto £4500.

Unit 1: Communications + Employability Skills.
In Unit 1: Communications + Employability Skills we learn about the communication skills you need to get a job as for example if you work doing IT Tech Support. In Employability we learn about how we can research the specifications needed for different jobs and we also learn about job interviews.
Week 7 - we learnt about a lot of different jobs within IT and what you would have to do in the job, what salary you would earn and all the dates you get to take off for holidays or breaks.
